In anticipation of the biggest weekend in FALS history, race officials have announced they are removing Friday’s $500 to win Sportsman special as well as Saturday’s $500 to win Street Stock special from the Prairie Dirt Classic Weekend events program. With extremely large car counts expected in the UMP Modified division as well as the World of Outlaws Late Models, FALS officials feel like it’s in the best interest of all of our drivers involved to keep as much room in the pit area as possible for the large haulers anticipated for this weekend. With limited space available and very limited options for overflow pit parking, this was the main reason for the race committee’s decision.
In return for these two divisions, FALS has added a larger payout for each of the Sportsman and Street Stock specials on June 1st and 8th respectively. Each division will now race for $800 to win and $100 to start with increases in each of the positions throughout the 20-lap features. Each of these specials will be regular pit pass price for the night. Both divisions will qualify on their specific night and run the new FALS weekly format.
All the updates to the 2013 race schedule and payouts will be posted throughout the website soon. We appreciate all the racers and fans understanding in this situation. We are trying to make the best weekend possible for everyone involved. Season passes are now available for purchase and reserved seats and camping for the Prairie Dirt Classic will go on sale for single race opportunities on April 6th.
