2008 FAIRBURY AMERICAN LEGION SPEEDWAY HORNET RULES

1. Drivers MUST be at least 16 years of age (must be able to show race official proof of age), anyone under the age of 18 must have parental consent form signed.

2. Any 4 cylinder car with a maximum wheel base of 103” and a complete stock body, frame and suspension. No bracing anywhere except inside the drivers compartment. Dash, steering and pedals must remain stock for the make and model. All insulation under hood must be removed. NO all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicles.

3. Approved helmets, seat belts, gloves and FULL DRIVER’S SUIT is required.

4. Stock carburetor/fuel injection system for that make and model. No turbo chargers.

5. Stock transmission for that make and model.

6. Battery must remain under hood.

7. Stock unaltered rear end for that make and model.

8. Passenger tires only. Wheels and tires must be of like size. No low profile tires. 35 lb. air pressure min.

9. Gas Tank: if stock gas tank is behind rear axle, it must be replaced with a fuel cell or boat tank and securely fastened in trunk.

10. Driver’s door must be welded shut. Driver door plates recommended. (A Leaf spring separated and welded to the outside of door allowed).

11. All glass must be removed.

12. Management claim in effect at all times. Claim amount $200.00.

13. All cars are subject to a minimum specification inspection at any time.

14. Roll Cage: Full 4-post roll cage must be used. Must have minimum of 3 door bars in driver’s side with a plate. (recommended).

15. Approved racing safety belts and shoulder harness required. Must be quick release type belts. Must be securely fastened to car frame or roll cage.

16. Car number must be at least 24 inches tall and in contrasting color on doors.


IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DRIVER TO PREPARE THEIR CAR FREE OF DEFECTS AND IN A SAFE RACING CONDITION.
