1. ALL CARS MUST BE U.S. FACTORY STOCK APPEARING BODIES AND RUN SAME BRAND ENGINES (GM TO GM, FORD TO FORD) ETC; NO WEDGE BODIES ALLOWED.
2. BODY CAN BE MADE OUT OF STEEL OR ALUMINUM. A FIBERGLASS ROOF IS ALLOWED. FIBERGLASS BODY PANELS ARE NOT ALLOWED. ALUMINUM HOODS AND ROOFS ARE ALLOWED BUT MUST BE SHAPED LIKE STOCK ROOF. NO FLAT ROOFS. BODY MUST BE STOCK APPEARING WITH BODY LINES, NO FLAT SIDES ALLOWED.
3. REAR SAIL PANELS MUST BE SHAPED AND LOOK LIKE BODY BEING RUN (CAMARO MUST LOOK LIKE CAMARO) ETC.
4. WINDOW OPENINGS MUST NOT BE ALTERED. DRIVER AND PASSENGER OPENINGS MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 14” HIGH, “NO TOLERANCE”. EDGE TO TOP OF DECK MUST BE A 12” MINIMUM.
5. REAR OF BODY MUST BE ENCLOSED FROM TOP OF BUMPER TO REAR DECK (12” MINIMUM). IF USING STOCK APPEARING POLY REAR COVER IT MUST BE USED AS MANUFACTURED, MAY NOT BE WIDENED AND MUST BE SAME MAKE AS NOSE (GRAND PRIX TO GRAND PRIX, ETC.) (MAXIMUM WIDTH OF BODY LINE 70”)
6. POLY FRONT AND REAR BUMPER COVERS ARE ALLOWED. MD3 OR 2ND GENERATION MD3 DIRT LATE MODEL NOSES ALLOWED. NO RAISED WINGS FROM THE MD3 NOSES. THEY MUST BE FLAT AT THE TOP OF THE HOOD ACROSS THE FRONT. MUST BE STOCK APPEARING SHORT TRACK NOSES OR CLASSIC DIRT NOSE AND WINGS AND REAR BUMPER COVERS. IF USING POLY REAR COVER IT MUST MATCH FRONT COVER. RECOMMENDED TO RUN HEAD LIGHT AND TAIL LIGHT DECALS FOR COVERS.
7. BUMPERS MUST BE STOCK APPEARING, MUST BE WELDED AND BE IN STOCK POSITION. MAY NOT STICK OUT FROM CAR IF RUNNING STOCK BUMPERS.
8. REINFORCEMENT OF FRONT AND REAR BUMPER IS ALLOWED, BUT TUBING CANNOT BE VISIBLE.
9. NO SHARP EDGES OR OPEN TUBE ON CORNERS OF BUMPERS, MUST BE CAPPED.
10. NO CONVERTIBLES OR STATION WAGONS
11. ALL DOORS MUST BE WELDED SHUT
12. PLASTIC SKIRTING ALLOWED ON BODY ONLY. (MINIMUM HEIGHT ABOVE GROUND 6” AS PER BODY INSTALLATION GUIDES.)
13. NO HOOD SCOOPS, 6” DEFLECTORS ARE ALLOWED TO PROTECT AIR FILTERS.
14. NO REAR SPOILERS OR WINGS ALLOWED.
15. ALL GLASS AND CHROME MUST BE REMOVED. NO MIRRORS ARE ALLOWED.
16. NO RADIOS OR RADIO ANTENNAS.
17. A MINIMUM OF THREE 3/8” STEEL BARS MUST BE INSTALLED ON DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD OPENING, SCREEN IS OPTIONAL, BUT RECOMMENDED.
18. HOOD AND TRUNK MUST BE INTACT.
19. HOOD MUST BE SECURED WITH HOOD PINS. (NO CHAINS, ROPES, BUNGEE CORDS, ETC.)
20. HOOD MUST BE ABLE TO BE EASILY OPENED AT ANY GIVEN TIME.
21. MINIMUM WHEEL BASE IS 104 INCHES MEASURED ON BOTH SIDES.
22. BODY MUST MEET MEASUREMENTS OF DRAWINGS.
MINIMUM WEIGHT
1. MINIMUM ACCEPTED WEIGHT FOR CAR AND DRIVER AFTER RACES IS 2,800 LBS.
ROLL CAGE
1. FULL ROLE CAGE BARS ARE REQUIRED ON ALL CARS.
2. ROLL CAGE AND ALL INTERNAL CAGE AND BAR WORK MUST BE AT LEAST 1 ½” STEEL TUBING.
3. ALL CARS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWO (2) BARS ON RIGHT SIDE DOOR TO STOP POSSIBLE WHEEL ENTRY.
4. MINIMUM THREE (3) 1 ½” DOOR BARS ON DRIVER’S SIDE DOOR, WITH GUSSETS AT STRESS POINTS.
5. MINIMUM OF 6 POINT CAGE, ALTHOUGH MORE IS RECOMMENDED.
6. ROLL CAGE MUST BE TIED TO FRONT AND REAR TUBING.
7. WALL THICKNESS OF TUBING AT LEAST .095.
8. NO EXHAUST PIPING ANYWHERE ON THE CAR.
9. WELDING OF CAGE MUST MEET OR EXCEED INSPECTION.
10. DRIVERS HEAD WITH HELMET MUST BE BELOW MAIN HOOP WHEN BUCKLED IN SEAT.
WEIGHTS
1. LEAD WEIGHTS ONLY.
2. ALL WEIGHTS MUST BE PAINTED WHITE WITH CAR NUMBER ON WEIGHT.
3. TRACTOR WEIGHTS, BAR BELL WEIGHTS, OLD ENGINE CYLINDER HEADS, ETC. ARE NOT ALLOWED FOR WEIGHTS.
4. WEIGHTS MUST BE SECURELY MOUNTED BY USING ½” BOLTS, ONE ½” BOLT FOR EVERY 25 LBS. OF WEIGHT. EXAMPLE: 75 LBS WEIGHT REQUIRES THREE ½” BOLTS, ETC.
5. YOU CANNOT USE TAPE, WIRE, TIE STRAPS, ETC, TO MOUNT WEIGHTS.
PAINTING AND NUMBERS
1. ALL CARS MUST BE NEAT IN APPEARANCE WITH LETTERING AND NUMBERS.
2. HEIGHT OF NUMBERS ON SIDE OF CAR MUST BE READABLE AND 18” HIGH ON BOTH SIDES.
3. ROOF NUMBERS MUST BE AT LEAST 18” HIGH AND FACE THE GRANDSTANDS.
4. USE GOOD TASTE IN PICKING NUMBERS.
SUSPENSION
1. STOCK FRONT STUB FRAMES ONLY. MUST EXTEND FROM BUMPER REARWARD TO FIREWALL OR MID PLATE.
2. NO TUBULAR FRONT STUBS.
3. MAY RUN CHASSIS TAIL SECTION AND FRAME RAILS.
4. STEEL COILOVER SHOCKS ARE ALLOWED. NO ALUMINUM SHOCKS OR EXTERNAL ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS ALLOWED. ALUMINUM COILOVER SPRING KITS ALLOWED. COILOVERS MUST BE MOUNTED, EITHER (BOTH) IN FRONT OF OR (BOTH) BEHIND REAR AXLE. NO STAGGERED COILOVERS (LEFT IN FRONT, RIGHT IN REAR OF AXLE, ETC.)
5. NO COIL OVER ELIMINATORS (SLIDERS).
6. MINIMUM OUTSIDE DIAMETER OF REAR COIL SPRINGS IS 2 ½” (C/O TYPE) OR 4 ½” (CONVENTIONAL TYPE).
7. FIBERGLASS OR STEEL LEAF SPRINGS ALLOWED BUT THEY MAY NOT BE ALTERED.
8. NO HALF LEAF TYPE SUSPENSIONS ALLOWED.
9. NO BIRD CAGES OR LEAF SPRINGS FLOATERS ALLOWED.
10. NO FIFTH ARM BARS ALLOWED (EITHER FOR TRACTION OR BRAKING).
11. ONE TRACTION DEVICE ALLOWED MOUNTED PARALLEL TO FRAME FRONT TO REAR (TOP VIEW) CAN BE MOUNTED LOWER IN FRONT (SIDE VIEW). ANY SPRING MAY BE STEEL OR ALUMINUM RUBBER BISKET ON SOLID TYPE PULL BAR ALLOWED.
12. ONE AXLE DAMPER SHOCK ALLOWED. MUST RUN PARALLEL TO FRAME RAILS. (FRONT TO REAR)
13. ONLY ONE SHOCK PER WHEEL.
14. STRAIGHT OR J BAR TYPE PANHARD BARS ALLOWED.
15. WEIGHT JACK/SCREWS ALLOWED (STEEL ONLY).
16. NO MEANS OF CHASSIS ADJUSTMENT FROM COCKPIT ALLOWED.

STEERING
1. RACING TYPE STEERING WHEEL WITH A QUICK RELEASE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
2. STOCK RACK AND PINION STEERING ONLY. NO RACING TYPE ALLOWED.
3. TIE RODS MAY BE REPLACED WITH 5/8 HEIMS AND STEEL TUBES. NO ALUMINUM TUBES.
4. STEERING QUICKNER ALLOWED. NO GEARS AND CHAINS ALLOWED.
REAR END
1. ANY STANDARD U.S. AUTO OR TRUCK REAR END.
2. NO INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSIONS.
3. NO QUICK CHANGE REAR END.
4. FLOATER TYPE REAR END RECOMMENDED.
5. NO ALUMINUM AXLES, TUBES, AXLE HOUSING, OR CENTER SECTIONS ALLOWED.
6. ALUMINUM LOWERING BLOCKS FOR LEAF SPRINGS ARE ALLOWED.
DRIVE SHAFT
1. DRIVE SHAFT MUST BE PAINTED WHITE.
2. A 360 DEGREE DRIVE SHAFT HOOP REQUIRED AND MUST BE CONSTRUCTED OF AT LEAST ¼” X 2” STEEL. HOOP MUST BE MOUNTED NO MORE THAN 6” BACK FROM FRONT U JOINT OF DRIVE SHAFT.
3. CARBON FIBER DRIVE SHAFTS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
TRANSMISSION
1. O.E.M. PRODUCTION TYPE TRANSMISSIONS WILL BE ALLOWED, MANUAL 3 SPEED, 4 SPEED, OR AUTOMATIC.
2. NO 5 SPEED TRANSMISSIONS OR OVERDRIVE TRANSMISSIONS ALLOWED.
3. NO IN AND OUT BOXES.
4. NO BUTTON OR COUPLERS.
5. TRANSMISSION MUST HAVE TWO GEARS FORWARD, AND ONE GEAR REVERSE, AND MUST HAVE NEUTRAL.
6. BERT TYPE TRANSMISSIONS ALLOWED.
7. NO QUICK CHANGE GEAR TYPE TRANSMISSIONS ALLOWED.
CLUTCH
1. RACING CLUTCHES WILL BE ALLOWED.
2. MUST BE EQUIPPED WITH AN EXPLOSION-PROOF BELL HOUSING.
3. IF AN EXPLOSION PROOF BELL HOUSING IS NOT AVAILABLE, YOU MAY CONSTRUCT A SHIELD OF AT LEAST ¼” X 6 STEEL COVERING THE CLUTCH AREA 360 DEGREES AND IT MUST BE SECURELY FASTENED TO ENGINE BLOCK.
4. TWO DISC AND THREE DISC RACING CLUTCHES USING A FLEX PLATE FLY WHEEL MAY RUN ALUMINUM BELL HOUSING. (QUARTERMASTER, TILTON, RAM, ETC.).
BRAKES
1. RACING TYPE MASTER CYLINDER AND RACING TYPE PEDALS ARE ALLOWED.
2. NO FLOATING BRAKES CALIPER BRACKETS.
3. BRAKE BIAS ADJUSTERS ARE ALLOWED.
4. ALL FOUR WHEELS MUST HAVE FUNCTIONAL BRAKES. RIGHT FRONT SHUTOFFS MANUAL OR ELECTRIC ALLOWED.
5. STOCK O.E.M. OR AFTER MARKET CAST IRON AND ALUMINUM CALIPERS ARE ALLOWED.
BATTERY
1. BATTERY MUST BE TOTALLY ENCLOSED IN A PLASTIC BATTERY BOX AND SECURELY FASTENED TO THE FLOOR OR HAVE A FIRE WALL BETWEEN BATTERY AND COCKPIT AREA.
2. BATTERY MUST BE FASTENED DOWN WITH (2) 3/8” BOLTS MINIMUM.
FUEL
1. FUEL CELLS ARE REQUIRED. MAXIMUM 32 GALLONS, MUST BE SECURELY FASTENED IN TRUNK AND MUST HAVE SEALED FIRE WALL BETWEEN DRIVER AND FUEL CELL.
2. BOTTOM OF FUEL CELL MUST BE MOUNTED ABOVE CENTER LINE OF REAR END HOUSING.
3. MINIMUM 20 GAUGE STEEL CASE SURROUNDING FUEL CELL REQUIRED.
4. FUEL CELL MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWO 1/8” X 2 WIDE STEEL STRAPS SURROUNDING THE FUEL CELL FOR MOUNTING.
5. GRADE #5 BOLTS OR BETTER ARE REQUIRED FOR MOUNTING FUEL CELL.
6. NO FUEL LINES ARE PERMITTED TO RUN THROUGH THE INTERIOR.
7. RACING TYPE BRAIDED FUEL LINES ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
8. NO ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS.
9. ALCOHOL (METHANOL) IS ALLOWED.
10. ALCOHOL UPPER END LUBE ALLOWED.
11. RACING GASOLINE ALLOWED.
12. NO NITROUS OXIDE, PROPYLENE OXIDE OR NITRO METHANE.
13. NO FUEL INJECTION.
TIRES AND WHEELS
1. MAXIMUM 10” WIDE STEEL WHEELS ONLY.
2. 2 BEAD LOCKS ALLOWED.
3. ALUMINUM BOLT PATTERN ADAPTER ALLOWED MAX ONE INCH WIDE.
4. ALUMINUM OR STEEL WHEEL SPACERS ALLOWED, MUST SLIDE OVER STUDS.
5. MAXIMUM TIRE TREAD WIDTH IS 10”. (FOOT PRINT MEASURED FROM OUTSIDE EDGE TO OUTSIDE EDGE).
6. NO SHAVING EDGING OF TIRES TO OBTAIN 10” TREAD WIDTH.
7. NO ALUMINUM WHEELS.
8. WHEEL STUDS MUST BE TORQUED TO 80 LBS. MINIMUM
9. MINIMUM ½” WHEEL STUDS AND 1” LUG NUT MANDATORY. 5/8" STUDS RECOMMENDED
10. EACH WHEEL MUST HAVE 5 WHEEL STUDS AND NUTS.
DRIVER & INTERIOR
1. FIRE SUITS ARE MANDATORY, MUST FIT DRIVER AND BE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION (SUBJECT TO INSPECTION).
2. FIRE SUITS MUST BE WORN DURING PARTICIPATION. PANTS AND JACKETS OR ONE PIECE SUIT.
3. HELMET, FULL FACE HELMET REQUIRED.
4. HELMET MUST MEET OR EXCEED SNELL 2000 OR NEVER REQUIREMENTS.
5. FIRE PROTECTION RACING GLOVES AND SHOES ARE RECOMMENDED.
6. KILL SWITCH MUST BE IN EASY REACH OF DRIVER AND SAFETY CREW. MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED “ON” AND “OFF” AND MUST KILL ENGINE.
7. WINDOW NET ON DRIVER'S SIDE OR ARM RESTRAINTS ARE RECOMMENDED.
DRIVER SEAT & SEAT BELTS
1. ALUMINUM RACING SEAT IS REQUIRED.
2. SEAT MUST BE BOLTED DOWN WITH GRADE #5 OR BETTER BOLTS AND MOUNTED AT BOTTOM AND BACK.
3. NO FIBERGLASS OR POLY SEATS ALLOWED
4. 5 POINT, 3” WIDE RACING SEAT HARNESS ARE REQUIRED. (MUST USE CROTCH STRAP).
5. SEAT BELTS MUST BE MOUNTED TO FRAME BY USING GRADE #5 OR BETTER BOLTS AT ALL 5 POINTS.
6. SEAT BELTS MUST NOT BE OLDER THAN TWO (2) YEARS OLD AND MUST BE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
7. NEW SEAT BELTS ARE RECOMMENDED YEARLY.
8. NO CHAINS, STRAPS ALLOWED FOR SEAT BELT ATTACHMENT POINTS.
9. NO BELTS THROUGH WEBBING FOR MOUNTING.
GAS PEDAL
1. RACING TYPE PEDAL WITH A TOE LOOP IS REQUIRED.
2. GAS PEDAL LINKAGE MUST BE MADE OUT OF STEEL OR ALUMINUM ROUND ROD.
3. CABLE GAS PEDAL LINKAGES ARE NOT ALLOWED.
4. ALL GAS PEDAL LINKAGE MUST BE FREE OF ALL KINKS AND BINDS.
ENGINE
1. MUST BE STOCK APPEARING, SAME MAKE AS CAR BODY
2. MUST RUN GM WITH GM, FORD WITH FORD, ETC.
3. ENGINE SET BACK WITHIN 4” OF FOREMOST SPARK PLUG FROM UPPER-MIDDLE OF BALL JOINT. OFF SET 2” MAX BETWEEN FRAME RAILS.
4. SOLID MOTOR MOUNTS ALLOWED.
5. HEADERS ALLOWED AND MUST EXIT UNDER CAR.
6. NO 180 DEGREE OR ZOMMIE TYPE HEADERS.
7. HEADERS CANNOT GO THROUGH BODY PANELS OR FENDERS.
8. NO FLEX TUBING HEADERS ALLOWED.
9. ALUMINUM INTAKES ALLOWED.
10. ALUMINUM CYLINDER HEADS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
11. ALUMINUM ENGINE BLOCKS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
12. MUST HAVE AN AIR CLEANER.
13. ALL CARS MUST RUN ONE, 2 BARREL, OR ONE 4 BARREL CARBURETOR.

16. NO ELECTRONIC TRACTION DEVICES OR ADJUSTABLE ENGINE TIMING DEVICES FROM COCKPIT ALLOWED.
MISC.
ANY SITUATIONS NOT COVERED IN ANY OF THESE RULES WILL BE HANDLED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TECH OFFICIAL AND RACE DIRECTOR AS THEY ARISE. DECISIONS OF THE RACE DIRECTOR IS FINAL.
ALL RACE CARS ARE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION AT ANYTIME, AND ANY CAR FOUND IN VIOLATION OF THESE RULES AT ANY TIME DURING AN EVENT WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE EVENT AND WILL FORFEIT ANY PRIZE MONEY AND POINTS FOR THE NIGHT.
ANY CAR FAILING TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE SCALES OR TO A REQUIRED INSPECTION AFTER A RACE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM EVENT AND WILL FORFEIT ANY PRIZE MONEY AND POINTS FOR THE NIGHT.
RULES CAN ONLY BE INTERPRETED BY TRACK TECH OFFICIALS AND THE RACE DIRECTOR.
THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS SET FOURTH HEREIN ARE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE FOR THE ORDERLY CONDUCT OF RACING EVENTS ONLY, AND TO ESTABLISH MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL EVENTS. NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATION OF, OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS.
