  • General admission or pit pass wristbands must be purchased at time of arrival. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
  • No one will enter fairgrounds without paying for a ticket.
  • If you lose your wristband, you will have to purchase a new one.
  • Anyone entering the grounds before Friday, July 28th must purchase a weekend general admission ticket. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
  • Children 12 and under are free with paying adult!
  • Minors in the pits will be $15.00 per night. (12 and under)
  • Any person 17 years of age and under must have a parental consent form signed before entering the pit area.
  • Reserved seating is sold out.

Blankets & Seating

All reserved seats on the backstretch and sections R, S, T, U on the frontstretch are sold out. Blankets may be put down for general admission seats on the frontstretch main covered grandstands only at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26th. Any blankets/seats put down before that time (unless authorized) will be taken down and placed near the closest stairs. Continuing in 2019, you will not be able to leave your blanket overnight for Saturday’s show. All blankets and unauthorized seating remaining Saturday morning will be placed at the nearest exit and cleaned for Saturday’s events. On Saturday, July 27th, fans will again be allowed to put down blankets in the frontstretch covered grandstands only at 2:00 p.m. FALS will not be liable for stolen or lost blankets. Any blankets not in use at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday night will be removed and stored by the fairgrounds.

Additional rules and regulations for PDC seating:

  • Stadium seats are NOT allowed in any sections of the bleachers or grandstands.
  • No smoking or vaping in the bleachers or grandstands at any time!
  • No coolers or bottles allowed in the bleachers or grandstands.
  • Only FALS purchased cans and alcohol allowed in the bleachers or grandstands.
  • Alcohol is prohibited in the pit area until the races are over for the evening.
  • Fans are asked to print seat vouchers or have them available on their phones as proof of reserved seating.
  • FALS will have attendants to check for reserved tickets, stadium seats, and non FALS purchased alcohol prior to entrance into the bleachers and grandstands.

Camping Information

Gates will open at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 24th to allow campers with reservations ONLY in spots #1-285 to secure their spots.


Weekend general admission ticket: $55.00
Kids 12 and under free with paid adult.
Pit passes will not be sold until 8:00 a.m. on Friday morning. If you are planning on getting a pit pass, you must purchase your GA ticket upon arrival and you can upgrade to a pit pass when the pits open for business Friday morning at 8:00 a.m.

All camping reservations #1-225 must enter First Street main entrance (GATE 1).
Camping reservations #250-285 must enter camping lot to the north of the school.

  • Reserved camping is sold out for the weekend. However, if you are camping and do not have reservations, there will be an overflow lot offsite across the street from the track.
  • Overflow camping (first come, first serve) and all tent camping will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24th. All overflow camping and tent camping will enter at south ball field entrance only.
  • There is very limited staging room for campers and motorhomes. FALS has the right to ask anyone at any time to continue on their way if traffic is being hung up. There are plenty of parking lots around town to park until gates open.
  • Gate 1 will not close throughout the weekend and will be staffed. People entering or exiting the grounds that are a part of a camping spot must have their camping pass to re-enter the grounds. No Exceptions! Camping passes will be handed out upon arrival for all camping reservations.
  • Each camping lot must have an RV/trailer on it; no car/van/truck only parking is allowed in camping lots.

There will be around 45 spots available for the overflow lot. After that is full, we will direct you to a private camping lot to the west of the speedway.

After the overflow lots are full, the Fairbury Speedway will not be able to accept any additional camping for the weekend. Please check online to look up area campgrounds if needed.

Additional Camping Rules

  • There are NO hookups for campers.
  • Quiet generators are allowed. Quiet time for the weekend will be from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • No campfires allowed in the overflow lot or tent camping areas on school grounds.
  • Campfires will be allowed ONLY in raised fire pits in reserved FALS camping areas. Please dispose of your ashes in the metal barrels around the speedway grounds.
  • Please dispose of your garbage in bags and the FALS staff will be around daily to pick it up.
  • Please be respectful of others around you at all times!

Tent Camping Rules & Regulations: Begins Wednesday, July 24th at 6:00 PM

  • Tent camping is $15.00.
  • Required to purchase weekend general admission ticket upon arrival.
  • Quiet generators are allowed. Quiet time for the weekend will be from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • No campfires allowed.
  • FALS will have porta potties and hand rinse stations available at the school.
  • Please dispose your trash in cans and dumpsters in the designated areas.
  • Please be respectful of others around you at all times.

Failure to obey camping rules, regulations, and respect for the fairgrounds will result in loss of privileges for future events.

Gate Entrance Times

  • First Street (Gate 1) opens on Wednesday, July 24th at 12 noon for all camping reservations to secure their spot. (Must pay for a $55.00 weekend wristband upon arrival.)
  • Gates will remain open and staffed throughout the weekend starting at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 24th. No entrance to the fairgrounds will be allowed unless purchasing a ticket for the 30th annual Prairie Dirt Classic weekend.
  • First Street walk-up gates will open Friday and Saturday at 11:00 a.m. General admission tickets will be available for purchase at this gate.
  • Second Street (Gate 2) will open at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26th and Saturday, July 27th for handicap parking and walk-up general admission ticket sales only. No car parking will be available at Gate 2.
  • Race car haulers must use Third Street pit gate (Gate 3) all week leading up to the event!
  • Pit gate (Third Street only) will open up at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. No cars will be allowed through this entrance at any time.

For race car rigs traveling and arriving during the night late Wednesday or Thursday, haulers will use the main pit gate (Gate 3) on Third Street. Race teams will be parked upon arrival by speedway officials for maximum capacity for the weekend.

Event Parking

  • PDC event parking is free. There may be private homeowners that have easy out or special parking available for a fee.
  • For those without camping reservations, a spot must be reserved inside the grounds (if available) with a vehicle with no additional spots saved without a vehicle in them (NO CAUTION TAPE OR STAKES ALLOWED). These rules apply to everyone without exception.
  • FALS will have parking attendants throughout the lots around the speedway to assist fans in finding a spot for the night. Please be aware of your surroundings and be safe when driving around the grounds during the PDC weekend.

Additional Weekend Information

  • All credential requests must be sent to FALS owner, Matt Curl, prior to the PDC weekend at fairburyspeedway@gmail.com.
  • Once credentials are approved, they will only be allowed to be picked up at Third Street (Gate 3) secretary’s office beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26th.
  • All vendors must pre-register for the Prairie Dirt Classic weekend.
  • No unauthorized drones will be allowed on the grounds of the Fairbury Speedway at any time.
  • FALS will not be responsible for the loss or damage of your property.
  • All events are conducted by the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series officials and follow the DIRTcar/WoO general rules and specifications. Decisions of the officials are final.
  • Racing fuel will be available from a vendor at the track each night.
  • The Drive 105.3 FM broadcast channel available (around the town of Fairbury only).
  • Rain date (if needed) for the 30th annual Prairie Dirt Classic is scheduled for Sunday, July 28th.

Golf Cart Rules

General Rules That Apply Every Race Night

  • All drivers must be at least 16 years old.
  • No four-wheeler or “gator” type vehicles are allowed outside of the pit area. GOLF CARTS ONLY in the general admission area.
  • General admission area and pit area vehicles are restricted to their respective areas after the pits are closed to the public.
  • A reasonable, slow (approximately 5 mph) speed limit will be enforced at all times.
  • No carts allowed between the backstretch bleachers and the fence, on the horse track in front of the grandstands, and anywhere posted “NO GOLF CARTS”.

Special Event Rules

  • All “general” rules apply.
  • All general admission area golf carts must be registered to be allowed on the property. A $10.00 seasonal registration fee will apply for residents who possess a city of Fairbury sticker. A $20.00 event registration fee will apply for those that are not a city of Fairbury resident. Golf cart stickers can be purchased at the First Street ticket gate (Gate 1) or on arrival for the weekend.
  • All golf carts not staying on the premises overnight will still need to be registered and must be parked in the designated areas outside Gate 1 or Gate 2 for general admission or in the designated area outside the Third Street gate (Gate 3) for pit admission.
  • All general admission area golf carts must be parked on race nights from 5:00 p.m. until one hour after the races have concluded on race nights. This rule will be strictly enforced in 2019.
  • All pit area golf carts, four-wheelers, etc. must be parked from 30 minutes after the conclusion of the last race until sunrise.
  • Special exemptions to the rules for special needs will be considered if applied for in writing in advance. Applications must be received by FALS at PO Box 165, Fairbury, IL 61739 at least one week prior to the event or email: fairburyspeedway@gmail.com.

Anyone violating the above rules may forfeit their right to operate their vehicle on our property and may be required to “load up” or remove their vehicle immediately at the discretion of the FALS officials.
